Mr.
Burdeny has painted impressionistic and abstract
renditions of his surroundings for the past
thirty-five years. Depending on the mood or
subject matter, Burdeny utilizes techniques
employing brush or palette knife work, thusly
imparting subtle gradations of colour or heavy
impasto palette knife texture.
Whether
painting the High Arctic, The Prairies, or abstract
impressions of his surroundings, Burdeny uses
strong colour and deft handling of light and
shadow.
Many
of his works hang in private and corporate collections
in North America and Europe.
