Red Wing

Acrylic on Baltic Birch

5' x 5'

The inspiration for this piece was derived from watching a Red Winged Blackbird fly randomly between cat tails , in a marsh. The yellow in the centre denotes the colour of marsh grasses in autumn, and the red triangles evoke the red patches on the bird’s wing. All in all, a very light and serendipitous feeling pervades the painting.
